Red Rocks Faculty and Staff - Creating New Career Paths for Youth in Jordan

Joan Smith, Dean, and Troy Wanek, Lead Solar Technology Instructor from Red Rocks Community College spent more then five years (2009-2015) working with the Al Baqua University System in Jordan to create two new degree programs, Solar Energy Technology (SET) and Occupational Safety and Health. 2013 saw 23 new SET students graduate from the Al Huson University College in Irbid, Jordan. In 2014 50 students began the inaugural program in Occupational Safety and Health at the Hassib Sabbaugh Academy at the BAU Marka Campus in Jordan.
